And today you can read me at Liquid Imagination

(I have never had back-to-back publications. This is pretty awesome.)

I’ve got a flash piece in issue 15 of Liquid Imagination. You can check out the full issue here, or you can go straight to my story, “Renounce the Tunnel,” by clicking here.

A neat factoid about Liquid Imagination: They match every written piece with a piece of art, and the writers don’t see the art until the issue goes live. I really love my piece of art.

Today you can read me in Milk Sugar Literature!

I’m happy to announce Milk Sugar Literature has published my short story Numbered with the Living.

You should read it, and then visit their Current Issue link and read everyone else along with it.

A little background if you’re curious: “Numbered with the Living” started out as a flash of an idea at two in the morning. At that time all I knew was that a woman was going to burn down her house. It was written, mostly, to Carley’s Baer‘s album “Head West,” with the most repeats going to Echo because the arrangement and second verse kept hitting me  just right:

Other songs in the writing rotation included Eef Barzeley‘s “Apocalyptic Friend” and “I Love the Unknown,” which were chosen to help me keep the mood of great change mixed with hopefulness I meant the story to create.
